JUNE 2024 EDITORIAL
Ladies, let me say a huge THANK YOU!!! Yes, to all you wonderful “Crida girls” who read this editorial every month, who watch and comment on our dresses on our Instagram page, and especially to those of you who have welcomed us at every stop of our summer collection presentation with such great affection and interest.
In recent months, Daniela and I wanted to travel across Italy to introduce people to the kind of fashion we believe in, and the response—thanks also to the word-of-mouth of so many friends—has come in loud and clear. In Florence, Milan, Monte Carlo (yes, we even made a stop abroad!), Rome, and Lecce, we met so many marvelous women—all different, yet united by a passion for dresses just the way we like them: authentically Italian, well-made, and easy to wear.
Our goal was to let as many people as possible see, touch, and try on our designs to understand the fit of the garments and the diverse needs of every client. The result was truly a success that surprised us beyond all expectations. The greatest satisfaction? When someone arrived saying: “I’d love to try on a Crida, but I’m afraid it won’t suit me because I’m not built like you,” only to see her step out of the dressing room smiling, wearing a model that was perfect for her physique.
The real challenge we wanted to take on by starting this work at a mature age is to make clothes for women that look good on all women. And since Daniela and I are neither models nor young girls, we know very well which critical points we want to hide. When we create our designs, we are careful to attend to those details that must make every woman feel good inside a dress.
I want to tell you one more thing: between one stop and another on this exciting Crida Tour, we are also finishing the samples for the Spring/Summer 2025 collection. When we work on the fitting and refining of the new models, we always wear them ourselves (instead of using models as other brands usually do). This way, we can better evaluate how to optimize a length, a fold, or a neckline to ensure you feel elegant yet comfortable and, above all, beautiful. Just like the friends we met while traveling around Italy.
So, thank you for all the smiles you’ve given us, for the very welcome compliments, for the messages of appreciation we continue to receive, and for the photos you send us of yourselves dressed in Crida.
Our journey through Italy is not over yet and, hoping that the meteorological summer is finally arriving, we give you the last two appointments for this month: on June 14th, 15th, and 16th, we will be in Forte dei Marmi for three days at Shaft Jeans in Via Roma; and at the end of the month, on June 28th, 29th, and 30th, we will reach Capri at La Parisienne, a beautiful shop right on the “piazzetta.”
So, dear friends, keep following our social channels for all the details regarding these events. We hope to see you soon!
